There is no right or wrong way to ‘do therapy’.


Here are a few Therapeutic Styles we may utilize in our sessions:

Art Therapy:

  • Uses art materials and the creative process to explore emotions, reduce anxiety, and increase self-awareness. It focuses on the therapeutic benefits of artistic expression.

Brainspotting:

  • A specialized therapy that helps individuals process trauma and other emotional issues by focusing on eye positions that correlate with distressing memories or emotions.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):

  • Focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional and psychological issues. It emphasizes practical strategies for problem-solving.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT):

  • Primarily used in couples therapy, EFT helps partners recognize and change negative interaction patterns. It focuses on creating secure emotional bonds and improving communication.

Family/Marital Therapy:

  • Addresses issues within families or couples by improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing understanding among family members or partners.

Humanistic Therapy:

  • Focuses on self-exploration, personal growth, and self-actualization. It emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and the client’s subjective experience.

Strengths-Based Therapy:

  • Emphasizes identifying and utilizing the client’s strengths and resources to promote positive change. It focuses on building resilience and empowering the client.

Trauma-Focused Therapy:

  • Designed to help individuals overcome the psychological effects of trauma. It often includes techniques to process traumatic memories, reduce symptoms of PTSD, and improve coping skills.
